My Story.... I turned professional in 1997, and became P.G.A. qualified in 2002, after completing the Professional Golfers Association Diploma programme with Distinction. During this time I worked at Grange Golf Club, and Foxrock Golf Club. After another spell at Grange and the Ward Golf Centre, I was appointed Head Teaching Professional at the popular Spawell Driving Range, in 2003. During my time time at Spawell, I have built up a reputation as an excellent teacher, and helped lots of golfers to shoot lower scores, hit the ball better, and most importantly ENJOY their golf more. It's very satisfying as a golf instructor to help a golfer ready to throw his/her clubs in the wheelie bin to love golf again! I'm a keen student of the game, particularly in terms of instruction and how golfers learn and improve. I'm constantly looking for ways to deliver the best golf lessons I can. I believe everyone can improve; it's all about determining what each individual needs to do in order to achieve their goals. I recently completed a Golf Psychology Coaching Certificate with the PGA which will prove a great asset to my teaching. Overall golf has been a huge part of my life, as far back as 12 years of age when I got lost at the Carrolls Irish Open at Portmarnock! Thanks to some helpful Gardai and stewards I was reunited with my dad. I joined a club at 15, gradually improved my game to a three handicap in the space of four years. I enjoyed success as a professional with several wins on the domestic circuit, but gradually played less as I built up my career as a teacher.
